life
practices & personal writing.
how to live an intimate life.
i want to live an intimate life and so i write, practice and teach about how to live an intimate life.
about what it is to live here, now, in this life. not the life i’ve imagined, not my visions or goals or the person i hope to someday become, but the life i’m already living as the person i already am.
what it is to be in flow with my own breath and body. with the waking and sleeping of the sun. with the heartbeat of the earth. my own organic unfolding.
aligned with what is inside me but also beyond me. the world within – my heart, my thoughts, my knowing – and the world without – god, consciousness, source.
in touch with what is real: wet ground, soft breeze, hot coffee, full belly. this. the analog, offline. the world pulsing through my veins, filling my curious eyes.
in relationship with my own sensitivities, soul and the humans i share this planet with. open, alive, aware. listening, present, available.
i want to feel my life. i want to be here. i want to live an intimate life.
so i write about it, read about it, devote my breath and body practices to it, and then i share it because maybe you, too, want to live this life. a life that fully engaged and courageously alive.
an intimate life.
teachings, practices, & stories from the root
we live in a head-centered world where our mind often rules our life. our mind is beautiful but there is a wisdom so deep, so ancient, so beautiful that we have forgotten. the wisdom of our being, rooted down in our body.
through gentle practices, honest stories, and time-tested teachings, i share with you ways to return, to come home. to know yourself as part of the whole. held by the present. guided by life.
this is as much an unfolding as it is a revealing. it is not an arriving at or a figuring out. we are more mystery than known. i give you questions to hold, places to jump from, possibilities to expand into.
let us find ourselves back in our bodies, rooted in our being. let us come home. together.
about daphne
i’m devoted to the mystery. to that which we cannot know.
i am always asking questions. as rob bell said to me, “you have serious curiosity. it’s formidable: your question-asking prowess.”
i host a podcast: an intimate life. conversations with humans living a softer, slower, more embodied life. humans brave enough to look deeply, question widely and speak honestly about what it means to be a sensitive being rooted in body and guided by heart.
i’m a certified intuitive movement teacher, embodied present process guide and breathwork facilitator.
i write to share what i’m learning and how i’m growing so that we can find each other through stories that resonate and teachings that help make sense of being human.
when i write i write with body and mind. sensing my way forward, feeling my way from hips to head, from pelvis to page. i am writing myself into a new world. a world painted with permission, built inside of breath, constructed for wholeness.
