Some things we talk about…

  • Miscarriage and how art pulled her through what was one of the hardest years of her life
  • The challenges of being a full-time artist
  • What happened when she just got really brave and put herself out there
  • How to find your own creative voice amongst the millions of others and
  • What it took for Alisa to leave the world of a steady paycheck and health care and leap into the world of art, dreams, and freedom.

“I was squeezing my dream so tight it almost didn’t have room to breathe. And the moment I let go, of even my unhappiness with it all, was the minute I had new ideas, and inspiration and that’s when things began to snowball and really began to take off in my creative career.”

“I learned that putting yourself out there and setting goals that are crazy really can bring a lot of good stuff your way. And if you don’t try, if you don’t set that goal and go after it, you’re never going to know.’”
