an embodied life
breath & body practices.
book groups.
personal writing.
what is it to live an embodied life?
in a noisy, chaotic, disembodied world, what does it mean to live an embodied life?
***
to live here, now, in the midst of all of it: the hard and the suffering, the grief and the pain. the beauty and the laughter, the love and the light.
to find a home in a world that can feel too loud or too shallow, too fast or too disregulated.
to honor your true self, even when it’s been labeled too sensitive or intense, too emotional or deep.
to listen for your knowing whispered in the trees and along the riverbank, rising from your belly, carried on your breath.
to belong even if you’ve spent your life feeling like an outsider, a stranger in a strange world.
to respect your longing for slower, your need for quiet, your craving for depth.
aligned with the world within—your heart, thoughts, feelings —and the world beyond: god, consciousness, source.
open, alive, aware. listening, present, available.

this is what i want.
so I write about it, study it, and devote my breath and body practices to it. and then I share it—because maybe you, too, want to live this way.
to inhabit a life where you are more regulated, confident, at ease in your skin.
a life that feels grounded, centered, and courageously alive.
an embodied life.
“i love your writing. i can “feel” your voice resonating with my whole body and heart.”
“i’ve been reading you and i thank you for sharing your words… they always help me move in the ‘right’ direction or inspire me to be a little more like ‘me’❤️ (my true me)”
“your story and how you share it is absolutely beautiful, daphne. so real, so sacred, so transparent.”

about daphne
i’m devoted to the mystery. to that which we cannot know.
i am always asking questions. as rob bell said to me, “you have serious curiosity. it’s formidable: your question-asking prowess.”
i host a podcast: an embodied life. conversations with humans living a softer, slower, truer life. humans brave enough to look deeply, question widely and speak honestly about what it means to be a sensitive being rooted in body and guided by heart.
i’m a certified intuitive movement teacher, embodied present process guide and breathwork facilitator.
i write to share what i’m learning and how i’m growing so that we can find each other through stories that resonate and teachings that help make sense of being human.
when i write i write with body and mind. sensing my way forward, feeling my way from hips to head, from pelvis to page. i am writing myself into a new world. a world painted with permission, built inside of breath, constructed for wholeness.
