L’Erin Alta is a healer. And by healer I mean warrior. A healer to the healers. She’s traveled 23 countries, sat at the feet of shamans & sherpas, ministers, and medicine women. She’s gone through rituals and rites and she’s spent the last 17 years teaching women how to heal from the darkest of places. She’s a private coach, a world-reknown workshop leader, a writer, and a survivor of depression, loss, and trauma. Here L’Erin shares about the key to liberation, making your way back from the depths of despair, how to start (and restart) your business from scratch, lessons learned from depression, brain surgery, and tragic loss, and how to trust yourself, even if you’re the only one.
It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom that I realized I didn’t care what we did in my family. I didn’t care what the family culture was anymore. It wasn’t worth the pain. That forced me to say, “I have to do what works for me. I have to do what makes me happy.”
